How do I clear my cache and cookies on Google Chrome Browser for Desktop?

Step 1: Open Chrome Settings

  1. Open Google Chrome on your computer.
  2. In the top-right corner, click the three dots menu (⋮).
  3. Hover over More tools and select Clear browsing data…
  • Shortcut tip: Press Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows) or Command + Shift + Delete (Mac) to jump straight there.

Step 2: Choose What to Clear

  1. A pop-up window will appear titled Clear browsing data.
  2. At the top, set the Time range to All time.
  3. Check these boxes:
  • Browsing history (optional, if you want to remove your visited sites list)
  • Cookies and other site data
  • Cached images and files

Step 3: Confirm and Clear

  1. Click the Clear data button.
  2. Wait a few seconds while Chrome removes the selected data.

What Happens Next?

  • You’ll be signed out of most websites, including Truckstop.com so you’ll need to log in again.
  • Some sites may load a little slower at first since Chrome has to re-download images and files.
  • Any saved files (like downloads or documents) on your computer are not affected.

Pro Tips

  • If you only want to clear data for a specific site, go to Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > View permissions and data stored across sites.
  • Consider clearing your cache and cookies regularly if you notice websites acting strangely.
